Snack Time | June 2025
Cooking with love, flirting Esther Perel style, youthful coffee drinkers, and giving your NAD+ a proper runway.
Happy Summer Solstice!
This season brings more light and peak energy — something I’ve felt ramping up in my own life. Lately, I’ve found myself saying YES more often, craving intentional time with friends, and leaning into moments of joy and connection. Maybe this pull feels stronger in a world that seems increasingly divided and fearful.

I attended a sound bath tonight in Malibu which offered a heart opening experience to usher in this new phase. It was my first time being back in those canyons after the devastating fires and it was encouraging to see so much new growth.
A reminder that nature regenerates after trauma — and so do we.
Celebrating and supporting others feels essential right now. At another local event at Zibby’s few weeks ago, I listened to fellow Canadians Ben Nemtin and his longtime friend, celebrity chef Mikaela Reuben, talk about the long road to creating her beautiful cookbook, Eat to Love — a journey filled with laughter and tears. It was exactly the type of message we’re hungry for.
“Cooking for yourself truly is one of the most beautiful forms of self-love…”
— Mikaela Reuben

This month’s Snack Time — my round-up of bite-sized news, product discoveries, and other valuable intel I think you should know — is centered around hope, energy and vitality.
Drop me a ❤️ if any of these bites makes you smile. The good feelings are contagious.

Can Esther Perel Save Dating?
Is online dating doomed or have we just been asking the wrong questions? On Diary of a CEO, she goes deeper into how we might improve our social skills in our pursuit of romance and love.
Longevity Brew
Turns out your morning coffee might do more than kickstart your day. Research shared by biomedical scientist Rhonda Patrick highlights that moderate coffee drinkers (2-3 cups) are biologically younger, thanks to how coffee impacts gene expression linked to inflammation and aging. Unfortunately health benefits are only tied to filtered brewed coffee (not espresso) because filtering removes diterpenes like cafestol that can raise cholesterol.
A Cellular Energy Biohack
Addressing chronic fatigue by loading up on NAD+ without repairing cell membranes is like pouring water into a cracked vase — it won’t hold. Longevity experts, including Dr. Patricia Kane, emphasize restoring membrane integrity first using phospholipids. Her PK Protocol shows that rebuilding the cellular terrain can make mitochondrial support like NAD+ far more effective. To fortify your cellular membranes try BodyBio PC Oil before supplementing with NAD+ or NMN (like Wonderfeel Youngr).

I’m curious- for NAD+ people who take it as injections, is the same cellular fortifying needed? If so, how often and how long before taking NAD+ should you take the other?
