Snack Time | March 2025
Sauna singles, DNA deletion, CGMs for all, and a very wet mouth spray.
Happy Sunday! It’s been a minute since I shared a Snack Time — my bite-sized roundup of timely news, product discoveries, and other valuable intel I think you should know. [Scroll down for the good stuff.]
But, first some musings from my week.
This morning, the NYTimes popped into my feed with a click-baity headline about people who don’t get hangovers.
I answered the question (out loud): “People who don’t drink.” 🙄
The piece focused on a genetic subset of folks who can party all night and wake up without nausea, fatigue, or shame-spirals. Cool for them, I guess — but do we really need a clinical trial to measure how hungover someone feels?
As a former drinker and self-proclaimed bon vivant, I’ve spent the last few years exploring how to achieve the best buzz without the booze.
Case in point: I spent Friday at Love.Life, the massive new holistic wellness club in El Segundo (founded by Whole Foods’ John Mackey) getting doused in my own feel-good chemicals. PR powerhouse Amy Stanton invited a crew of us to try their cutting-edge fitness equipment and recovery toys: think hyperbarics, PEMF, multiple cold plunges (temps ranging from 39–59°F), and a dry sauna big enough for a small party.
I know it’s so LA to prefer getting high from contrast therapy and drinking bone broth while mingling but this trend is only gaining momentum, with social wellness clubs popping up in NY (Othership) and Austin (Bathe - see below).
Now onto this month’s Snack Time — small wellness bites for curious minds with not a lot of time.

🛁 Bathe Austin Launches Outdoor Oasis
Hot, clean fun at a cool outdoor club is coming to Austin on April 1. Expect Harvia saunas, Fjord cold plunges, a Nordsprings hot tub, and a heated pool from Cowboy Pools — all set in a landscaped garden for members looking to socialize and prioritize wellness. Join The Bathe Society to enjoy these facilities.
🧬 Delete Your DNA
In case you missed it, 23andMe is heading into bankruptcy — which means their assets are up for grabs to the highest bidder. Included in that monetizable pile? Your genetic material, if you handed it over back when the company was cool.
Pro tip: Save your raw data if you want to mine it for insights later (maybe when the tech — and privacy protections — catch up). Here are your step-by-step instructions on how to delete.
📈 CGM Goes Mainstream
Using a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) radically changed my energy, focus, and blood sugar regulation — so I’m thrilled to see these tools becoming more affordable and accessible. Abbott’s new Lingo CGM ($49/sensor for 14 days) is now available without a prescription on Amazon.

💋 Prioritize Your Pleasure
It’s something I tell my clients daily and its the tagline for Emily Oberg’s new sexual wellness brand, Sensual Sport. Oberg, the Canadian behind Sporty & Rich (on track for $34M in millennial leisurewear sales), launched her debut line of three products — a vibrator, pleasure gel, and “wet mouth” spray — all under $100.
And where did she launch it? OnlyFans, of course — to bypass Meta’s ridiculous prudish censorship. Some Vogue love for Sensual Sport this month.
