Spring Reflections
On living my purpose and honoring my mom. Plus, a gift from me and some substacks I love that you should follow.
Dear Reader,
Spring is here.
I’ve come to realize that this moment holds greater meaning for me than the start of the calendar year.
Perhaps having a birthday two weeks before the official start of the season prompts my introspection as I reflect on another year gone by.
Perhaps it’s because March marks the anniversary of my mother's passing, which is one of those events that changed me forever.
Interestingly, this year was the first time I didn’t commemorate it with a social post or journal entry. Not because I forgot, but because I've discovered a way to honor her every day.
One of the greatest lessons that emerges from grief and loss is clarity. And, when you apply that perspective to how you choose to spend your time and contribute to the world, it becomes your WHY.
I’m so grateful to have found mine.
My expressions of living purposefully are showing up in so many ways that I know would make my mother smile — and affectionately say, “I told you so.”

Today I woke up well rested (after recovering from a serious metaphorical “sprint” aka lots of work) to glorious California weather and a clear reminder of what Spring means to me.
Whatever you are trying to change, conceive or create in your life, this is your season of rebirth. I hope this note encourages you to welcome it with optimism and hope.
