The First Thing I Ask All My Clients to Do
For under $125, this health optimization tool gives us the roadmap — not just to look better, but to live stronger for decades to come.
“Where should I start on my health journey?”
That’s the question I’m asked the most from clients, students and readers.
Before you begin any of the protocols, programs or diets, I strongly encourage all of you to understand what your body is actually made of.
Why?
Because we’ve been conditioned to believe that thin equals healthy. And, that’s not always the case when you look under the hood.
Here’s a surprising truth.
Body size does not equate to body health. And, you certainly cannot determine someone’s health from just looking at them.
➡️ A heavier-bodied individual may actually carry more muscle and stronger bones, making them metabolically healthier and more resilient to fractures.
➡️ A thinner person may have less capacity to store fat safely and be more prone to visceral fat accumulation which raises the risk of chronic disease.
Scales and mirrors do not tell the full story.
If we’re serious about extending lifespan and healthspan, body composition is the foundation — and the DEXA scan is the clearest lens we have.
A DEXA scan (dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry) is the gold-standard test for body composition. It can reveal how much lean mass you have compared to fat, your bone density and other insights about your metabolism.
This data is beyond useful in creating the health plans that actually deliver results. And, in some cases, it can save a life — catching risk of osteoporosis early enough to prevent a fatal fall.
Forget about just weight loss. The real goal is body recomposition — shifting the balance of muscle to fat and increasing metabolic rate so you focus on resilience instead of vanity.
Getting a DEXA scan is easy.
Costs under $125 in most markets and under $50 with BodySpec (code CELIA)
No prescription needed
Takes just 7 minutes
Interpreting your DEXA scan is more challenging.
That’s where I come in. I’ve spent years studying body composition — diving into research with metabolism scientists, performance experts, and longevity and menopause doctors — and applying it with real clients and students.
Later this month, I’ll be teaching you how to read your DEXA scan like a pro — the same way I do with my 1:1 clients.
Early bird pricing and enrollment for my live class is finally launching in a week.
