Spring Fever
On the season's unapologetic pursuit of pleasure
Spring is here and, dare I say, the energy feels a little…frisky?
One of my favorite things from last week was an Instagram clip of the indefatigable Jane Fonda alongside sexual health expert and urologist, Kelly Casperson, MD. On a YPO panel, Jane cheekily remarked that Kelly’s signature short, spiky hairdo made it look like she was mid-orgasm.
Kelly’s retort was equally as funny — and the question she asked just as important.
“What else in your life is pleasurable?
The fact that a leading physician is reminding us to seek out what makes us feel joyful and alive makes me optimistic about where women’s health is headed.
For my clients and longtime readers, you already know — pleasure is a core pillar around here. I firmly believe a wellness routine without enjoyment is just compliance and that rarely lasts. [Read Pleasure as a Practice]
Starting in April, free posts will be archived after they are emailed to subscribers so make sure you get on the list and stay close to our growing community. Thank you for being here. xCelia
This was exactly the conversation at a recent event I hosted with Dr Sonia Singla at her holistic women’s health clinic, The Marigold Center, in celebration of the US launch of supplement brand, Ancient+Brave.
We moved seamlessly from discussing pelvic floor health to collagen coffee rituals to the merits of younger boyfriends all without skipping a beat.
The sisterhood has apparently lost all filters. And I’m here for it.

🍓 Snack Time
It’s been a while since I did one of my bite-sized roundups but these feel very on theme for the new season.
Redefining Pleasure
Our favorite urologist, Kelly Casperson, MD, is at it again — this time by partnering with Elixir Play to co-design a dual-surface external intimate wellness device. It’s designed to expand the ways we connect with our body through gentle, comfortable sensations with a focus on the journey rather than the destination. Great for increasing blood flow, arousal and reclaiming the concept of pleasure as self-care.
Libido Booster
The FDA approved Vyleesi a few years back, and while it’s been sitting quietly on pharmacy shelves, the broader conversation about female desire has finally caught up. The active ingredient, Bremelanotide, targets brain pathways that regulate mood and sex drive. It comes in an autoinjector pen used on your thigh or abdomen. Worth knowing: it’s only approved for premenopausal women, though that hasn't stopped men from trying it off-label, according to The Atlantic. And, per the fine print, it won’t do much if you’re just not into your partner anymore.
Desire is Fire
Scott Galloway, never to mince words, makes a compelling case for reframing sexual desire as fuel — the kind that drives ambition, confidence and self-improvement, particularly for young men navigating rejection. This clip from The Bossticks (The Skinny Confidential) gets into why having relationships is the hardest thing we do, but the most rewarding.
However you channel this season’s energy, make it count. Play in the sunshine, move toward what excites you, and spend time with people who make you feel alive.
Even the turtles in Ojai are out here shooting their shot.
