My Morning Edit
Mouth tape, performance shots and a secret supplement station. Plus, a brain-boosting give-away 🧠

The Wall Street Journal recently profiled a group of hyper-productive male execs —dubbed “Superman CEOs” — who wear their 4AM wake-up time like a biohacking badge of honor1.
I read it and immediately thought, “How awful.”
Coming from a night owl, my distaste for the glorification of hyper-early rising in the name of productivity is not surprising.
But we’re all wired differently. Our internal circadian clocks are encoded by genetics, and shaped by lifestyle and context — career, family, geography and even light exposure. Yet there’s still pressure from society to “win the morning,” by turning it into a mini bootcamp.
The truth is: there is no universal morning routine. There’s only the one that actually works for you (and maybe your biology).
Whether your day starts at 5AM or 10, what matters most is filling those first hours with the rituals, tools, and cues that make you feel anchored, energized and joyful.
Currently my mornings are softer and more self-directed — a far cry from the adrenaline-fueled chaos of my Conde Nast fashion days in NYC. Here’s a peek at the AM routine that serves me well as a busy wellness founder:
Rise + Shine
Wake up around 7am without an alarm unless I am wearing my silk Dore and Rose eye mask which acts like blackout shades. I have a skylight above my bed (strange design choice, I know) so the brightness, even through the marine layer, rouses me. I do not bounce out of bed.
Remove Dream Mouth Tape strip. It’s incredible how much better you sleep.
Brush teeth with Boka nano-hydroxyapatite toothpaste and tongue scrape. It does a better job removing bacteria from your mouth — say no to mouthwash!
Try desperately not to touch my phone or I’ll start scrolling and checking email immediately. It’s my worst habit and terrible for your brain.

Hydration + Hormones
Drink the full glass of room temperature water next to my bed to rehydrate. I infuse my water with Perfect Amino electrolytes to help with cellular hydration while the added amino acids gently cue digestion.
Wash my face with Symbiome The Reset cleanser, moisturize with January Labs Day Cream, and apply topical testosterone. Let’s normalize hormones as a longevity drug and daily wellness tool for mind, mood and body.
Resist the urge to use my phone again. I’ve often failed by now.
Dopamine Anchors + Supplement Stacks
Walk downstairs to my morning station, anchored by my absolute favorite kitchen accessory: the Fellow Kettle. It was a splurge, but it’s turned my matcha ritual into something so enjoyable, it’s become a true dopamine anchor.
While the kettle does its thing, I pour Three Trees or Elmhurst unsweetened almond milk into the Nespresso milk frother which produces barista-level foam.
Mix BodyBio PC Oil into filtered water and chase it with a delicious Magic Mind shot. It’s my go-to energy duo — one supports mitochondrial function and brain cell membranes with phosphatidylcholine — so your cells actually make energy better, while the other layers nootropics like L-theanine and lion’s mane for mental clarity and focus with rhodiola + adaptogens for stress support.
Open my Yamazaki breadbox-turned-supplement-station (surprise no bread!) that sits next to my kettle. It’s habit stacking at its finest — I never forget to take my Vitamin D3/K2 and CoQ10 now that they’re paired with my matcha. Plus I get to hide all of the bottles inside.
Supercharge my matcha with creatine, collagen, and a little protein powder — a simple way to keep things consistent and functional. My go-to brands are Pique and Mizuba for organic, heavy-metal tested teas that are beautiful bright green.
Sunshine + Nutrition
Sit outside on my daybed to get some morning light while drinking my matcha. I cherish my little silver of outdoor space and the chirping birds.
Grab a chia pudding with Zen Basil seeds that I made the night before from the fridge and top with berries, nuts and greek yogurt or make super fast scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and a side salad. Protein-rich breakfasts with some healthy fats keep my blood sugar balanced for hours which means even energy and focus.

Mindset + Movement
Open Oura ring app to see my sleep and HRV metrics. I’m also wearing a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) right now, so I check my blood sugar on the Levels Health app. Don’t eye-roll at me for biohacking, these two bio-wearables have radically improved my health and accountability!
Spend 5 minutes putting pen to paper. The act of writing down even a few words can bring intentionality to your thoughts. There is no time for deep introspection in the morning so sometimes I just make a list.
Head to Hume, my gym that feels more like a spa. After 8 weeks of consistent training, I now fully identify as someone who needs movement to thrive. Heavy lifting is still core but I’ve added sprint intervals on the rower. I’m amazed at how mental resilience improves when you do hard things.

The take-away: The first hour of your day is your brain’s runway — how you take off often determines how you land. Stack your supplements, layer your habits, and give yourself a better shot at a smooth flight. And if it goes off course? There’s always tomorrow.

What a lovely morning! The breadbox supplements are such a great idea- Having them right there next to a drink, reminding you to take them? So smart. I’m really curious to try adding Magic Mind to my routine. Even the best routine can use a boost!
Can I have a sleepover? This sounds divine.
